Mitch and Dendra were married on Saturday in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. Everything was beautiful. Even the unseasonably cool temperature and rain didn't get in the way. Dendra's smile and fantastic laugh never faltered. I looked up "Rain on your wedding day" and good ol' google says that it's good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie - therefore, when you "tie the knot" on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! We can thank Hindu traditions for this belief. As you can see from the photos, we were on a property with water frontage to the Bay of Quinte. We were visited by swans! Swans are monogamous birds that mate for life, making them a symbol of love and fidelity. Mitch & Dendra, those are some pretty strong omens for this marriage. Not that you needed any. Your vows said it all.
Congratulations Dendra & Mitch! Thank you for including me in your special day.
